Awareness Generation
One of HEDCONs main undertakings is to create awareness on various pertinent social and development issues. HEDCON targets not only the people directly affected but government agencies, NGOs, media and other individuals of civil society. With these tools HEDCON has been able to organize journalist visits to mining areas and provided a link between NGOs and the government during 2000-2001 and 2002-2003 drought periods. In order to improve access to information and expertise HEDCON has been working on publication of different periodicals in both English and Hindi language.
